Leeglin India Private Limited (“us”, “we”, “Leeglin”, or “Company” which also includes its affiliates) is the author and publisher of the internet resource www.leeglin.com (“Website”) as well as the mobile application ‘Leeglin’ and the related software, services, and applications (together with the Website, referred to as the “Services”).

 

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, share, disclose, and protect personal information about the Users of our Services, including the lawyers (“Practitioners”) listed on our platform, individuals who use the Services to connect with Practitioners (“End–Users”), and casual visitors of our Website or App (collectively, “you” or “Users”).

 

BY USING THE SERVICES OR BY OTHERWISE GIVING US YOUR INFORMATION, YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED TO THE PRACTICES AND POLICIES OUTLINED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE PRIVACY POLICY. YOU HEREBY CONSENT TO OUR COLLECTION, USE AND SHARING, DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE, MODIFY, ADD OR DELETE PORTIONS OF THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, AT OUR SOLE DISCRETION, AT ANY TIME. The privacy policy of the Company is being issued in compliance to the Information Technology Act and Applicable Rules.

 

This Privacy Policy states:

  • The type of information collected from Users;
  • The purpose, means, and modes of collection, usage, processing, retention, and destruction of such information;
  • How and to whom Leeglin will disclose such information.

 

  1. Collection of Personal Information

In order to use Leeglin, you are asked to enter an e-mail address and password, which we refer to as your Leeglin ID. This process will allow you to manage your profile and/or account and ask specific queries.

We automatically track and collect IP addresses, domain servers, type of web browsers, computers and domain servers used to access the site, referring source to the site and your interaction with the site and the browser, (Collectively “Traffic data”).

We also collect information you provide voluntarily in free-form text boxes on the Site and through responses to surveys, questionnaires and the like.

Generally, some of the Services require us to know who you are so that we can best meet your needs. When you access the Services, or through any interaction with us via emails, telephone calls or other correspondence, we may ask you to voluntarily provide us with certain information that personally identifies you or could be used to personally identify you. You hereby consent to the collection of such information by Leeglin. Without prejudice to the generality of the above, information collected by us from you may include (but is not limited to) the following:

    1. contact data (such as your email address and phone number);
    2. demographic data (such as your gender, your date of birth and your pin code);
    3. data regarding your usage of the services and history of the appointments made by or with you through the use of Services;
    4. insurance data (such as your insurance carrier and insurance plan);
    5. other information that you voluntarily choose to provide to us (such as information shared by you with us through emails or letters) including any images and other documents/files.
    6. data shared by the Practitioners pertaining to the treatment availed by you.

The information collected from you by Leeglin may constitute ‘personal information’ or ‘sensitive personal data or information’ under the SPI Rules.

“Personal Information” is defined under the SPI Rules to mean any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available to a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person.

The SPI Rules further define “Sensitive Personal Data or Information” of a person to mean personal information about that person relating to:

    1. passwords;
    2. financial information such as bank accounts, credit and debit card details or other payment instrument details;
    3. physical, physiological and mental health condition;
    4. sexual orientation;
    5. medical records and history;
    6. biometric information;
    7. information received by body corporate under lawful contract or otherwise;
    8. visitor details as provided at the time of registration or thereafter; and
    9. call data records.

Leeglin will be free to use, collect and disclose information that is freely available in the public domain without your consent.

3.1 All Users

  • All information you provide is voluntary. By submitting your information, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure in accordance with this Policy.
  • Leeglin may use your information for:
    • Providing and improving Services;
    • Facilitating appointment bookings, chats, and calls with lawyers;
    • Processing convenience fee payments;
    • Analyzing usage patterns and conducting research for business intelligence;

3.2 Practitioners (Lawyers)

  • Information provided by Practitioners (such as name, qualifications, experience, practice areas, and court affiliations) is displayed on the platform for End-Users to make informed choices.
  • Leeglin does not charge Practitioners any listing or service fee.
  • Practitioners consent to their details being published and made searchable by Users.
  • Leeglin makes reasonable efforts to verify the accuracy of Practitioner information but does not guarantee completeness or correctness.

3.3 End-Users

  • End-Users must register to access features like lawyer search, in-app chat, calls, and appointment booking.
  • End-User information is used to facilitate services such as lawyer discovery, secure communication, and fee processing.
  • Call and chat records may be securely stored to improve quality, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with law.
  • End-Users acknowledge that lawyer-client communication initiated on the platform is private, but Leeglin may retain metadata (not legal advice content) for operational and legal purposes.

3.4 Casual Visitors

  • No sensitive personal data is automatically collected from casual visitors.
  • Visitors may browse publicly available information, but to use full Services, registration is required.

 

  1. Confidentiality and Security
  • Your personal information is stored on secure servers and protected by reasonable security practices.
  • Payment data is processed through trusted third-party payment gateways using encryption.
  • Leeglin employees and agents access personal data only on a need-to-know basis and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Despite our best efforts, no security system is impenetrable; Users are advised to take precautions such as safeguarding login credentials.
